Job Description:

HOURS: MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY,FRIDAY, SATURDAY 9:00AM - 5:30PM GENERAL FUNCTION: First level of supervision in the Cash Vault. Works under the direction of the Vault Manager. Supervises and monitors the workflow, productivity and quality of the cash vault non-exempt employees. Ensures staff compliance with Bancorp policies and procedures as well as the Cash Vault procedures and controls. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Familiarity with all essential duties and responsibilities of the non-exempt staff. * Coordinate and supervise the day-to-day workflow in the Cash Vault. * Responsible for prioritizing work and delegating tasks to ensure proper coverage of daily functions. * Ensure that production standards and quality standards are met and maintained. * Ensure that vault procedures and controls are followed at all times. * Ensure vault employees have appropriate access levels to systems/programs needed to perform their jobs. * Maintain optimum efficiency and cost effectiveness in a high volume environment. * Oversee and assist in resolving escalated operational issues, customer service issues and employee issues in a timely manner. * Assist with the interviewing and selection of new hires. * Oversee the training of new hires, ensuring a full understanding of the cash vault procedures and controls as well as the Bancorp procedures. * Manage the attendance of the non-exempt staff and ensure the accuracy of hours worked before submitting to payroll. * May be responsible for the periodic management of the entire cash vault. * Meet individually with non-exempt staff on a monthly basis to discuss monthly productivity and quality numbers. * Conduct departmental meetings. * Schedule service calls for equipment repairs. * Ensure employees complete all annual compliance courses. * May write performance appraisals as well as corrective counseling documents. * Perform quality checks of departmental work in accordance with the monthly self-assessment procedures. * Suggest new techniques to improve productivity to manager. * Serve as departmental resource for ongoing questions and problem solving on difficult issues. * Approve/verify deposit discrepancies and error corrections. * Perform other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for providing employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential; developing the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments. Experience KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED: * Associates Degree preferred or equivalent work experience. * Two years banking operations experience preferably in a comparable environment. * Two years managerial or supervisory experience required. * Ability and willingness to share knowledge with co-workers. * Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization. * Strong math skills. * Previous PC experience necessary, including Microsoft office products Word and Excel. * Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with co-workers and management. * Should be viewed as a leader. * Self-motivator with strong problem solving skills and attention to detail. * Must be able to handle multiple tasks. * Must have ability to work in a fast paced environment without compromising quality. * Need to have flexibility in scheduling. Must work until the completion of daily vault functions. * High-risk area - requires annual background and credit check.
