Our domestic strength and extensive global network provides our employees with the best of both worlds - the friendliness of a local organization and the resources of a worldwide network - for diverse experiences and challenging career opportunities.   The Global Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Center of Excellence (COE) Consultant will be responsible for the overall day-to-day project management and administration of the Global Program that is deploying DLP to the Group entities. This role will also be involved in cross training to eventually manage the day to day operations and administration of the DLP COE post deployment. Specifically, this role will: Plan, organize and control activities associated with the project management of the Global DLP program. Manage the full project life cycle to ensure comprehensive, timely and high quality outcome of the assigned projects. Work with the DLP COE management to identify and engage all key stakeholders, contributors and business and technical resources that should participate in a projects and ensure that contributors are motivated to complete assigned tasks within the parameters of the project plan. Create project plans using tools (Clarity) that facilitate task listing, assignments, tracking and modification to ensure that program requirements are completely satisfied, on time and within budget. Produce executive and other reports to keep senior management apprised of project status, risks and issues. Facilitates regular project meetings, keeps minutes, tracks and assigns action items and follows up with team members as required to focus operational issues or technical issues. Document, assign and monitor all projects issues and risks to ensure clearance with minimal impact to project progress.   Work on all efforts around the Global DLP application as defined within the COE scope for both the global DLP technical implementation and the post-implementation / BAU phase. Coordinate and execute global joint testing and release management efforts. Be a subject-matter expert for the DLP tool and have a comprehensive working knowledge of the global architecture and infrastructure technologies. DLP technical training will be provided. Work with the Global Application Administrator and the DLP COE Manager to manage all of the global and regional DLP policies and associated response rules, etc. centrally. Centrally manage or help the DLP Administrator with all of the Global and regional DLP policies and associated response rules, etc. in addition to driving and implementing the COE rules of engagement and SLAs. Coordinate and execute with the DLP COE Manager and Regional DLP Application Administrators all Application Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity activities for the DLP tool. Communicate status and issues to COE management as appropriate (this includes the distribution and creation of reporting and analysis). Work with outside service providers as required and facilitate and foster all communication with the vendor as related to the application at both a global and regional level. Manage to the DLP COE budget and assist with planning efforts.   Be a point of contact along with the DLP Administrator for Global ITO regarding technical DLP issues. Recommend strategies and tactics to satisfy customer needs. Collaborate with business owners, HSBC staff, IT colleagues and other stakeholders to identify customer requirements and assess impacts to other data and systems, consider available technologies, compare costs and benefits and recommend solutions. Assist, as needed, in the development of future DLP strategic technical architecture plans in partnership with ITO and the business. Maintain architectural compliance and ensure technical strategies remain in concert with Group technology architecture and philosophy. Keep informed on technical and professional developments affecting area of responsibility and advises department and DLP Program management on new developments. Maintain a thorough knowledge of businesses supported. Provide guidance in the use of technology to meet short and long term requirements. Build strong partnerships and consults with internal customers to add value and extend the traditional model of services and to ensure business needs are met. Ensure systems-related problems and challenges are addressed, root causes identified and corrective measures are implemented. Complete other responsibilities, as assigned. Assure compliance with Corporate and Group objectives, standards, policies and procedures, regulatory requirements, technical architecture, and business objectives. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.   Basic Qualifications:  
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, computer science or related field
  • Six to eight years progressive experience in information security including a minimum three years experience working with diverse security products
  • Technical experience in at least one of the following: software architecture/development, database administration, distributed systems, mainframe, networks, and infrastructure
  • Experience creating and managing operational processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Three to five years of demonstrated project management knowledge and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse global environment
  • Professional certifications in Information Security desirable (CISSP / CISM)
  • Project Management certification a plus
