Represent the Company in the community to customers and referral sources. Manage efforts of assigned Relationship Managers. Execute overall team business strategy to target companies to attract new customers and expand profitability. Manage activities of assigned personnel to ensure efforts support established business plans, promote new business, expand current relationships and maximize net contribution. Maintain relationships with larger customers by serving as a trusted advisor. Manage the cross-sell of Company products based on customer needs. Monitor, maintain and expand profitability to protect Company interests. Lead and develop an effective team through communication, performance management, development plans and reward/recognition practices. Cultivate an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand.   Complete other responsibilities, as assigned. Accompany lending personnel on larger, more complex customer calls. Maintain contacts with others in the business community to enhance referral sources and obtain additional referrals. Ensure timely, complete and in-depth evaluations or reviews of financial and operating risk are made for all credits; approve/reject credits within assigned limits according to Company standards and forward recommendations exceeding the limit as appropriate. Ensure early identification of problem credit accounts and proper action on potential or existing problem accounts to protect Company interests. Oversee lending operations activities to ensure accuracy of general ledger, credit quality, income statement, balance sheet, external regulatory reporting and service quality provided customers. Ensure operational and administrative routines and records are properly maintained, credits are effectively administered and reports are submitted timely and accurate.   Ensure employees apply compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. To implement the Group Compliance policy locally by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.   Basic Qualifications:-  
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of nine years proven and progressive middle market, credit and operational experience or equivalent
  • Credit training or equivalent experience
  • Strong credit, managerial, planning, negotiations, communications, sales, analytical and organizational skills
  • Sound understanding of the middle market business, pertinent regulations affecting it and the lending and credit approval process
  • Strong ability to build personal relationships with current and potential clients
