Job Overview

Candidate will be responsible for test execution of projects associated with implementation of Chase Credit Policy and will participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle for each assigned project.

 

Responsibilities

·        Define test strategies, test plans, test cases and scripts for an application release using requirements, functional documents, and processes

·        Manage the work effort and product of the QA team.

·        Review and provide input to test cases and map them to requirements

·        Define, Condition and/or acquire test data to create required test scenarios

·        Assist Application Developers and technical support staff in identifying and resolving defects

·        Assess and revise test sequence and scope based upon test results and/or changes in requirements

·        Ensure all project documentation is up to date and is compliant with Chase standards

·        Ensure QA methodologies are followed and are compliant with Chase standards

·        Drive the resolution and communication of application defects

·        Contribute to continuous improvement and proactively support knowledge sharing within the department

·        Maintain document template libraries for internal project documentation

·        Coordinate execution of test scripts with project team and external test teams and/or vendors.

·        Define/Track testing risks and develop mitigation action plans

·        Measure and report test progress and schedule

·        Create and maintain QA procedure documents

·        Assist Test Leads in resource allocation and capacity planning

Conduct post-implementation audits to ensure continued performance, report production defects, and suggest enhancements where appropriate

Essential Skills & Experience -- include specifics regarding academic/ professional qualifications (e.g. degree, university, results), # yrs total and # yrs relevant work experience, relevant employers, relevant experience (nature of work/ job functions)
Qualifications:

·        College degree, or specialized training or equivalent work experience

·        Previous people/resource management experience 3 years

·        Basic knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle principles and Quality Assurance methodology - 5 yrs

·        SQA Analysis- Ability to read and comprehend business requirements and high-level design deliverables well enough to create detailed test cases.     Ability to map test cases to business requirements.  - 5 yrs

·        Mercury Quality Center or other similar tools - Basic understanding including navigation between functional areas within the tool.  Ability to input or load and execute test cases and document actual results within the tool - 5yrs

·        MS Office tools - 5 yrs

·        Can write and execute basic SQL statements - 5 yrs

·        Oracle/Unix environment - 5 yrs

·        Creating Unix Korn Shell or Perl scripts - 3 yrs

·        Strong regression testing skills - 5 yrs 

 

Must have excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills

 


Preferred Skills & Experience - include specifics, as above:

Bankcard industry experience desired - 1 year
