We are looking for a talented and highly motivated Solution Designer to join our Application Solution Design team within the Corporate Systems Data Warehousing group. 
 
A solution designer is required to develop solution designs across a number of projects in the Group Data Warehouse in alignment with MIS strategy, principles and guidelines.
 
This will be achieved by working with senior solution designers, architects, subject matter experts, business stakeholders, functional consultants and technical consultants. You will play a key role in ensuring that the solution designs are delivered to meet the business needs and are of high quality.
 
Knowledge and Experience 
  • Minimum five years experience in Information Management/DW/BI solution designer/consulting
  • Two years working in a large and complex organisation, primarily in the financial services industry
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the differing business practices that exist within a large organisation
  • Excellent communication & liaison skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong planning & leadership skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to do impact analysis in a complex environment
  • Proven analysis & design skills
  • Team player
  • Extensive Data Analysis experience
  • Extensive Financial Services Knowledge
  • Extensive BI environment and tools experience.
  • Strong understanding of relational database concepts
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of system development life cycle
  • Extensive experience in SQL
