Role Summary/Purpose

In this role, you will:

Essential Responsibilities

  • Analyze contract documents and requirements on assigned projects and facilitate the design, manufacturing & sourcing functions to ensure all deliverables are fulfilled
  • Provide technical interface for generator and electrical systems to customers and/or their assigned architect engineers
  • Support the generator design teams and project management on requisition issues
  • Execute technical regulations and standards requirements as part of the project compliance plan
  • Evaluate design / financial / schedule impact of changes to contract technical and/or scope requirements
  • Establish, monitor and facilitate hardware and software schedules and requirements
  • Support customer design meetings and other customer requests
  • Actively support initiatives to improve quality, cycle and reduce costs

    Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or other technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years engineering experience
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in Generator or Electrical Engineering / Technology
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification (GE employees only)

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to travel (domestic and international) up to 10% as required

  • Good understanding of generator and electrical system design
  • Knowledge of technical regulations and standards
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering

  • Strong verbal and written communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to influence and gain commitment at various levels of the organization
