Our domestic strength and extensive global network provides our employees with the best of both worlds - the friendliness of a local organization and the resources of a worldwide network - for diverse experiences and challenging career opportunities.     This position is a member of the North America Change Delivery Consulting & Engineering (C & E) team, a group of experienced consulting professionals acting in the capacity of trusted advisor to global, regional, and line of business senior management, providing thought leadership to guide and support well-reasoned decisions in matters of strategic, organizational, operational, and technological investment and alignment. As a member of the group, the candidate is not only positioned to respond to any variety of questions and challenges posed by this audience, but also is expected to create organic demand for C & E services, acting as a catalyst for change and a champion for continuous performance improvement across the organization. Analysts will have the opportunity to gain broad experience across a number of operational and technology concerns, and will be challenged to solve a variety of business problems. The project manager will typically be assigned to only one engagement at a time, and on that engagement, the duties may include gathering internal and market data, building models to analyze the data, and communicating results to C & E team members and internal customers. Project Managers will interface directly with customers- performing interviews, visiting operating sites, crafting and administering surveys – and as the Project Manager gains experience and seniority, he or she will be continually challenged to take on more ownership in the assembly and presentation of findings to more senior customers in the business.     Plan, organize and control all activities associated with the development of the most complex technical projects of varying sizes. Provide recommendations to senior management regarding type and number of resources human, financial, tools, etc. required to complete assigned projects. Solicit and obtain management authorization for development, documentation and implementation of new features and information processing systems as well as maintenance and support of existing application systems. Projects are cross functional, requiring a broad knowledge of the Company, key functions and products. Manage the full systems development life cycle of assigned complex technical projects to ensure comprehensive, timely and high quality outcomes of assigned projects. Create project plans using tools that facilitate task listing, assignments, tracking and modification to ensure business requirements are completely satisfied, on time and within budget.   Ensure all work performed is within existing policies, procedures and organizational objectives and meets high quality and customer service standards. Produces executive repots on assigned project to keep management apprised of project status, major issues, scope changes, resource changes and milestone achievements or misses. Focus on the management of technical projects within one or multiple areas or products. Identify and engages all key stakeholders, contributors and business and technical resources that must participate in projects and ensure that contributors are motivated to complete assigned tasks within the parameters of the project plan. Facilitate regular project meetings and follows up with team members as required to focus on business and operational issues or technical issues. Documents, assigns and monitors all projects issues to ensure clearance with minimal impact to project progress. Provide regular feedback to management of project team performance. Able to work effectively as part of a team to drive technical projects and deliverables. This position leads and provides support on larger projects. Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.   Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues. Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand. Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. This position manages technical projects and includes leading the team of Technical Project Managers throughout the course of the project. Manage medium to large size projects more complex in scope and technical complexity than those managed by the Associate Technical Project Manager or the Technical Project Manager.   Basic Qualifications:-  
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in computer science or related field, advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of six years proven experience in a combination of business systems development, general business, and technical project management
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification highly desirable
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, presentation, project management and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with limited supervision; the ability to make decisions regarding assigned projects independently
  • Comfort level working with staff that includes the highest levels of management
  • Background in computer science to ensure an understanding of the technical development process; the ability to discuss technical issues with both technicians and business users
