Job Description:

As a commercial credit analyst you will evaluate credit and transactional risk associated with existing and prospective multi-million dollar commercial floorplan relationships, making lending recommendations regarding same, and monitoring financial condition of existing commercial client base through monthly analysis of corporate financial statements and evaluation of industry and market conditions to ensure continued compliance with loan agreements. In this role, you will perform the following functions: prepare detailed credit memorandums on an annual and ad hoc basis evaluating a commercial floorplan borrower's overall financial condition including financial statement analysis, compliance with Chase Auto Finance (CAF) and JPMorgan Chase credit, operation and audit policies and procedures, credit worthiness and risk; prepare detailed credit memorandums on prospective new business clients, evaluating the prospective borrower's overall financial condition including financial statement analysis, credit worthiness and risk, and loan structure, prepare an analysis of commercial clients financial statements on a monthly basis, identifying trends, communicating with borrower's to explain anomalies and working closely with relationship managers to ensure continuing compliance with CAF and JPMorgan Chase credit policies; and assist relationship managers by responding to customer requests and inquiries by providing the highest level of customer service


  • Working towards a Bachelor degree with a concentration in finance or accounting preferred

  • Strong financial statement analysis skills

  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles

  • Sound knowledge of the auto industry and economic trends

  • Understanding of commercial lending risk assessment criteria, credit grading, and CAF/commercial loan documentation, a plus

  • Excellent PC skills with Microsoft Word and Excel, and Internet skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills as well as strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

  • Demonstrates Diplomacy and strong customer service skills
