Job Description:

Manages the Process Control and Efficiency Team within the Client Relations & Business Development (CR&BD) Center of Excellence (COE).  Serves as the Business Process Architect for CR&BD; directs the process analysis, design or redesign of multiple, integrated work flows to ensure that processes are customer focused, consistent, effective and efficient.  Manages the CR&BD compliance, control and risk functions in accordance with FINRA, SEC, and DOL regulations.  Working across multiple sites, responsible for the implementation, training, and documentation of processes.  Manages projects of the largest scope and impact and activities of multiple project teams which include staff from other organizations and processes.  Incumbent supports the strategic direction of the business by ensuring continued customer focus, enhancing and increasing productivity through the introduction of changes to the business unit's policies, practices, procedures, technology and/or tools. 

 

Responsibilities include:

 


  • Serves as the Business Process Architect for CR&BD's strategic business re-engineering operational initiatives designed to support revenue and profitability growth targets and client retention.

  • Leads the Process Efficiency, Quality and Control organization for CR&BD which is responsible for managing all of the compliance, control, and risk functions for the COE.  

  • Creates a climate of positive leadership on the team; promote active development and training opportunities for staff.  Communicates regularly with team through one-on-ones, staff meetings, and ongoing human resource performance processes.

  • Oversees the development and implementation of business control processes and utilizes continuous improvement methodologies to ensure optimal staffing, work flows, and controls.

  • Partners with the PruForce Team and IT strategic resources to execute on technology and business governance initiatives. 

  • Works closely with enterprise compliance, risk, and legal leadership to proactively assess opportunities to improve the control infrastructure for the COE.   Serves as the COE representative on the Enterprise Alert monthly meetings and ensures that all responsibilities are completed accurately and within the established timing standards.

  • Establishes and maintains performance and productivity measures to evaluate quality and efficiency of staff and processes completed by the unit.  Provides periodic reporting to management.

  • Identifies and executes on opportunities to link operational and support processes between CR&BD and other Retirement business units in order to streamline processes and create a superior revenue growth infrastructure.

  • Works closely with the First Impressions leadership team to document current state processes and develop strategic prioritization and execution for operational improvements.

  • Present updates on project deliverables to Senior Leadership and Extended Leadership teams.


  • BA or BS degree; MBA is a plus

  • Series 6 and 26 licensed, or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire

  • 10 years experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on retirement services, business analysis and process redesign

  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred with demonstrated success in implementing large workflow and system integration activities

  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills; ability to quickly execute on strategic decisions to drive organizational results

  • Strong project management skills with a thorough understanding of the project life cycle approach

  • Strong positive leadership skills with demonstrated ability to navigate a team through a dynamic environment

  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and formal presentation)

  • Superior matrix management and partnering skills

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate change within and across Prudential Lines of Businesses

  • Willingness to travel 15-25% of the time to alternate locations
