SunGard Risk and Performance is seeking a strong and self-motivated candidate for a senior software developer to join its team in Boston MA to design and develop planning solution for financial institutions. The candidate must have strong technical skills to develop software on time and with high quality. The candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with team members and project stakeholders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with the development team on design and development of planning solution for financial institution clients
• Help continue development of database and middle tier to add functionally and improve concurrency and scalability
• UI development
• Help the team uphold and document coding/testing standards and participate in code reviews
• Perform requirement analysis, task estimate, implementation and acceptance
• Work with QA on formulating and executing test plans
• Write automated regression tests for functionality developed
• May be asked from time to time to mentor less experienced developers
• May be asked to work with clients to resolve issues related to the software Position Requirements
• Passion for writing solid code in C#, thorough understanding of design patterns
• End-to-end experience in agile software development lifecycle.
• Must have exceptional problem solving skills
• SilverLight and/or WPF with WCF using RIA / Web services.
• Must have advanced knowledge of SQL Server. This includes proficiency in queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Data modeling also a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with team members and project stakeholders
• C++ helpful but not required
Must have at least a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 8 + years of experience in software development. Experience in financial field preferred.
