JOB INFORMATION



Coordinate strategy execution and direct day-to-day operations for a unit engaged in performing duties related to planning, conducting, and documenting inquiries into allegations or appearance of conduct violating laws, regulations, or corporate standards. Articulate goals, allocate resources, and manage workflow.



KEY JOB FUNCTIONS




  • Oversee and manage development and implementation of strategies for investigations initiatives. Formulate goals, objectives, and timelines. Manage reporting of findings and proactive remediation of any non-compliance issues found.

  • Collaborate with senior management in promoting a culture of compliance and educating and training all levels of staff as to the requirements involved.

  • Personally direct special investigations requiring application of new approaches in the field. Implement optimum solutions considering policies and current regulations.

  • Establish transaction monitoring and auditing systems and ensure, through testing, that they are adequate and effective.

  • Report to senior management on the unit's production, activities, and efforts.

  • Represent the unit as an expert or resource to cross-functional project or coordinating teams.

  • Plan, document, and manage the performance of subordinate managers and/or staff. Provide for professional or technical growth through assignment, mentoring, or training.

  • Plan and manage the unit's budget. Approve expenditures or budget transfers.

EDUCATION



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE



  • 8 years of related experience


SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS




  • Coordinate strategy execution and direct day-to-day operations of Investigations group.



  • Experience with Employment Law, Anti-Fraud and Investigations preferred.



  • The Investigations group, which is a part of the Compliance and Ethics division, is responsible for planning, conducting, and documenting reviews of all allegations of Code of Conduct and/or policy violations by Fannie Mae employees and others affiliated with Fannie Mae.
