Our team is looking for Lead Business Engineer to be based in our Singapore office.

.

ROLE OVERVIEW:


The overall responsibility of the Private Banking business engineering is to support private banking business regionally through understanding the requirements and providing solutions which are sustainable and provide business value over a longer term. Our offices are in Singapore and India where we deliver the Book of work for APAC region.

To be part of a global, client-focused team that supports a wide range of business initiatives and processes for Private Banking APAC. 
Ensure alignment of IT strategy with Business Objectives
The Business Engineering services will range from regional specific deliverables to collaborative delivery of global projects and will require strong communication & problem-solving skills.
Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt in a dynamic environment is critical.

Research the feasibility of new initiatives, assess emerging opportunities, lead pilot studies and address organization sustainability and highlight risks and challenges
Facilitate cross-organizational knowledge sharing forums among Subject Matter Experts and mentor new team members.
For APAC Business Engineering Team define and maintain quality criteria, guiding principles for documenting requirements and collaboration with business. Identify and implement best practices in Business Engineering.
Advise business of new features and functionality to existing systems and ascertain how they could be beneficial to the business.  Support users in initiating requests for implementation of such system enhancements.
To provide occasional support, when required to the users and assist other IT teams and participates in IT taskforces (on critical issues).
To understand and raise questions on the business requirement wherever appropriate (i.e., not relevant to business case) and advise business accordingly.
To lead feasibility studies, product fit gap analysis and clarify business requirements and documenting specifications.
Facilitate resolution of functional points of contention between users and IT with regards to escalated GIM (issue ticket) and projects.
Understand user needs and advise them on the best way to get these needs met (either through system change or through business process change).
Support or advise system architect to carve the target business domain landscape for the project.
To execute functional impact analysis on new projects and change requests.
The candidate should be able to take ownership from a domain point of view of the solutions recommended
Having and product knowledge, the candidate should be in a position to define the roadmap of the product from domain viewpoints.

Structured and informal reviews with Head, Business Engineering
Frequent interaction with Senior Managers within both IT and business by way of formal presentations, meetings and informal meetings for relationship building
Participate in Monthly team meetings
Continuous communications with users
As the Business Engineer lead, make sure the quality of the deliverables & standards are being followed.
The candidate must also be striving for financial/budget efficiency
Adherence to CMMI Process & Standards as defined by ISDF.
Have a good understanding of legal & compliance implications of suggesting domain solutions at the regional level
Work closely with the head of IT PB APAC Business Engineering to develop the team.
Contribute substantially to people development, bring new business engineering practices and initiatives to IT PB APAC Business Engineering
Be pro-active and solution driven, at the BE team level, department level as well as at the project level

TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS:

Overall
Graduate with experience in leading complex business critical projects with prior experience of Business analysis.
Minimum 10 years of IT experience
Knowledge of T24 module in the Core Banking space especially in Private Banking would be added advantage. Exposure to T24 product & its integration capabilities would be desirable.
Solid skills of Business Analysis, Requirement Gathering, Business Interaction with exposure to Private banking.
Solid experience of business domain models / architecture and Requirement Management tools
Good experience and understanding of end-to-end software development, including business analysis, testing and project management

Business Knowledge:
Strong domain knowledge of financial industry – Structure Derivatives, Interest Rate Swaps, Equity Swaps, Commodities, Credit Default Swaps, Structure Products, Derivatives
Good Knowledge of Banking domain -  Front to Back Booking & flows, Trade Order Capture and Execution, Settlement

Project Management Knowledge :
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to manage project scope, schedule, risk, budget and quality
Ability to explain the requirement to the Technical & Testing Team
Ability to communicate project status and performance to project stakeholders and management
