. Our team is looking for Test Strategy and Process Lead to be based in our Singapore office. . ROLE OVERVIEW:
PTG PB APAC requires a senior candidate to lead and perform the role of Testing Strategy and Process to take on leadership function at Team Lead level within Shared Testing Services group for portfolio and program delivery of Key Projects within APAC. The candidate will interface intensively with business users as well as IT stakeholders when managing the delivery of Program Testing Services. This candidate is accountable for all tangible deliverables of project at program level, such as leading the preparation of detailed test strategies; test plans data, automation scripts as well as management of the defect database, are delivered with high standards bar.
The candidate is required to work closely with delivery team peers in both IT and Business department, and should also have expertise in resolving testing issues, a general knowledge of testing tools, and a general knowledge of testing environment considerations.
Leadership Accountabilities Possess test management skills and experience in managing and delivering large, cross-enterprise testing initiatives/programme. Demonstrate high degree of independent and strong leadership in thought process and act as a mentor to junior team member. Ability to lead and deliver results leveraging from resources that do not necessarily directly managed. Pro-actively act as the backup for another Team Lead within Testing Services organisation. Responsible for managing resources that are both in-house and outsourced or offshore/offsite. Responsible for participating in recruitment of resources or identification of resource undertaken by candidate. Identification and preparation of Statistics analysis and Performance improvement plans for the team managed. Perform the necessary follow through when managing escalation or feedback coming from either Business users or Project team.
Test Management Competencies Overall coordination and responsibility for all testing activities. Collaborates at a peer level with the IT Program Manager and supervises the activities of the testing team including any Testing Designers and Testing Engineers assigned to the respective project. Close collaboration with the project manager and other members of the project to work towards successful delivery of the project/program. Ensure good communication channels are developed and maintained with other key areas within the project, in particular with the build and design teams. Responsible for the overall development and definition of test strategy, test plans, test cases, test scripts, test environments and other necessary documentation in the testing phase of a project or change request. Review of test entry/exit criteria to ensure that they are met before promotion to the next test/project phase. Coordination to ensure that all forms of test resources (hardware, manpower, etc) are in place. Close management and tracking of bugs toward a swift resolution. Provide effective monitoring and reporting of test progress. Participate in the reviews of project deliverables where mandated as per internal process. Ensure adherence to the defined testing process such that no audit points can be raised from non-conformances.
Process and Functional Competencies Monitor and promote compliance with processes, standards and policies. With alignment to CMMi, and using best practices, improve the testing processes. Assist in the definition, deployment, gathering and review of quality indicators relevant to testing and the testing methods in the department. To be on top of the latest testing developments/trends/best-practices in IT, particularly in the financial sector. Extend the understanding of business and IT strategies, drivers and processes at the project to department level. . TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS:
Minimum 15 years of working experience with at least 10 years in a Test Management role, including knowledge of testing standards and approaches and at least 5 years in management/leadership capacity. Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or Financial studies. Self-motivated and ability to work independently. Ability to persevere in pressurized delivery environment. Excellent Communications skills (written and oral). Strong presentation, advocacy and influencing skills Excellent Time Management skills. Strong Project Management skills with testing certification and PMP certification a must. Strong knowledge of financial products and their workflows in a Private Banking or Investment Banking environment. Proven track record in leadership and managing of teams (including virtual), influencing organisation, effective problem resolution, and capable of introducing change into organization. Proven track record in planning and oversight for multiple projects (e.g., phased application releases), directing, organizing and conflict management. Experience in managing offshore teams, vendors and preparation of SOW or BOW, critical to successful delivery of services. Experience in working with stakeholders at all levels within a business/technology environment. Experience in managing and delivering large, complex test programs. Sound knowledge of IT SDLC, strong knowledge of CMMI model, solid understanding of quality assurance and integration methodologies, such as Test Planning, execution of SIT, UAT, and Post-Migration Tests. Work experience/knowledge with T24, J2EE, Web-Based systems, Siebel, Mercury Test Director, and Mercury Quick TestPro is a plus. Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and multi-culture environment. Ability to work with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner. .
