DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:

The Asia Middle Office is currently a 35+ person team sitting in the Asia trading regions (Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore). The team supports the FID and Equity Derivative Products for Asia and Global markets.

The Middle Office supports the Front Office and Back Office trade capture along with Lifecycle Event Management and Internal / External trade reconciliations.

Successful candidates should be control focused, diligent and be proactive in highlighting process efficiencies or escalating issues to managers if and when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Trade Capture of Derivative Products into internal Systems.
Ensuring timely resolution of Internal and External Reconciliation systems.
Trade Booking Reviews.
Sarbanes Oxley Testing.
Broker Note Checking.
OTC Derivative Fixings.
Diary Event & Option Expiry Monitoring.
Ensuring Daily & Monthly controls and KRI’s are met in line with management targets.
Involvements in projects and testing as required for the various strategic booking initiatives.
Production of weekly and monthly metrics and achievement reports and ensuring the team are meeting their Key Risk indicators (KRI’s).
Involvement in New Business initiatives affecting MO.
Use priortisation effectively intra-day to complete all daily tasks in the required funding, payment and KRI deadlines avoiding or mitigating operational issues and risk
Ensure regulatory compliance by implementing and enforcing operations process workflow and impact
Provide training and support to other team members as needed
Ensure all processes and functions are documented in the teams procedures guide.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

- Minimum of 2 years as Analyst or relevant industry experience
- General knowledge of Operations processes, products, Operational Risk and regulatory requirements
- Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive change
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
- Proactive in self training and ability to implement new controls and procedures to improve own role.
- Proactive in identifying process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Undergraduate degree or equivalent diploma
