Job Description:

GENERAL FUNCTION: Support lenders by providing information, including company, industry and market information, in the support of the most complex and/or large extensions of credit. Assist credit administration management in fulfilling loan review requirements, assessing borrower credit risk and produce required reporting documentation through the preparation and utilization of account review reports. The following duties are done under minimal supervision and require some latitude for decision making. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: I. Lender Support: A. Responsible for obtaining and spreading the most complex financial statements and when required develop projections models to be used to stress company prepared estimates. B. Assist in the preparation of underwriting documents originated from any lending group, recommending structural changes, covenants, etc., ensuring that all of the risks associated with the credit request have been addressed and mitigated. C. Provide industry analysis and updates that can be utilized by the lending function and other analysts within the credit department. D. Where appropriate, participate with the lending officers in customer calls to obtain information on the current performance of the company. II. Credit Administration Support: A. Prepare account reviews for complex relationships, ensuring that the extensions of credit in the relationship adhere to the bank policies. B. Recommend any credit risk grade changes as appropriate and in compliance with the bank policies. C. Discuss with the relationship manager and management a deterioration in the financial performance of a borrower and assist in establishing a plan of action for correction or mitigation of the risk. D. Assist the credit manager in the preparation of reports required to be presented to Senior Management and the Board of Directors. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * None - However, it would be expected that persons in this position would coach less experienced members of the commercial credit group. Experience MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: College degree in accounting, finance or economics is preferred. 3+ years of credit analysis and/or loan review experience, preferably in the banking industry. Must be proficient in basic software applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with the Bank's internal applications is helpful. Must be attentive to detail and possess excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
