Senior Trader (Fixed Income, Currency, Derivatives and Energy Markets) (SG Americas Securities, LLC, New York, NY) Make markets and manage risk on currencies, interest rate derivatives and fixed income in Emerging markets. Manage books’ risks, monitor and report aggregated traders positioning, assist sales on delivering new products and understanding new market factors. Assist in managing existing traders by consolidating risk management and strategy. Interact with business units and offices across world regions. Deliver and effectively communicate desk strategies, capabilities and services. Support the strengthening and expansion of the Bank’s product offering in the Latin American markets (Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Chile and Argentina), Asian rates and FX markets (Korea, China, India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong), and Eastern European, Middle Eastern and African markets (Poland, Hungary, Russia, Turkey, South Africa and Israel). Oversee and direct the day-to-day activities related to management of books’ risks. Assist in monitoring and reporting of aggregated traders positioning. Work with Sales on delivering new products in multiple different currencies to Hedge Funds, Real Money and Corporate clients of the Bank. Serve as a Desk’s representative in interacting with the Bank’s different business units and offices across world regions. Direct and develop goals and policies, ensure they are met, and implement solutions to routine business problems. Oversee procedures and standards to ensure compliance with Bank’s global practices. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or U.S. equivalent in Physics, Engineering, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field. Must have six years of experience in the job offered or six years of experience trading in global emerging markets and in Asian, Eastern European, and Latin American local markets. Within the six years, must have six years of experience in trading, managing risk and making markets to global investors in all of the following: Foreign Exchange, Interest Rate and Cross-Currency Basis Derivatives, Inflation Derivatives and Local Market Bonds. Must have experience in risk processes, multi-asset risk valuation, and local market operational processes of settlement, taxation and compliance.
