Morgan provides full clearing support globally for proprietary and customer based clients. Our goal is to offer superior clearing services in the most efficient manner. Our operations team faces exchanges, clearing houses, and client representatives daily to ensure a seamless clearing process from the point of execution through the deliverable process. Role Description The scope of the role includes the daily management of the dynamic and complex listed derivatives clearing environment as well as accountability for overall delivery of multiple key projects. In addition, the Americas Head of Operations will be an integral part of the F&O and OTC Clearing Core Operations team, and the business' NA Management Team, leading and contributing to strategic global initiatives jointly with the other Regional Operations Heads and the business. The individual will be the senior JPMorgan operations on a number of futures industry forums and exchange/clearing house organizations. The team is made up of 105 individuals, including 5 VP direct reports, split across Chicago, Delaware, Bournemouth, Singapore, Mumbai and Bangalore. The role reports directly into the Global Head of F&O and OTC Clearing Core Operations (MD) who is based in New York. The primary responsibilities include: · Managing the following Americas teams: o Clearing Operations, responsible for Top Day Allocations, Post Trade Corrections, Physicals Delivery Team and Funds/Collateral Management o Global Product Development team, an internal GMI consulting team who provides expert guidance and advice to others on a range of operational and technical issues o Projects and Control team · Managing the following Global teams: o House Reconciliations, responsible for support of the House futures & options business, reconciling trades, positions, p/l, brokerage, total equity and exchange margins with clearing brokers on daily basis o OTC Clearing Billing, responsible for the creation, verification and distribution of single and cross product clients' invoices, maintenance and reconciliation of rate documentation, payment identification, exception processing, and reporting · Looking for continual opportunities to introduce efficiencies, scalability and ultimately reduce the operating expense per unit processed in the region · Controlling financial results against an established plan · Defining and owning a clear regional control agenda in conjunction with the global control team, ensuring that procedurally and operationally the teams are operating to consistent, documented standards · Ensuring the region is compliant with all internal compliance, exchange processing and regulatory reporting requirements · Successfully implementing / delivering market changes and strategic initiatives according to a schedule defined and agreed with the technology teams Required Skills and Qualifications The successful candidate will have:
