Job Description:




As a risk analyst, you will be responsible for supporting and building the data structures and  analytical tools that support Fair Lending monitoring, analysis, and regulatory compliance.

 

Description:

In this position, you will be responsible for:

·         Helping to build the appropriate data structures to facilitate fair lending monitoring and analysis.  This includes data structures to house applications, underwriting, pricing, originations, HMDA, servicing, loss mitigation, and default data as required to support fair lending analytical initiatives and regulatory requirements

·         Assessing the impact of any database or system conversions which will impact data structures, reporting, or analysis

·         Researching, testing and verifying  the accuracy of existing and newly sourced data

·         Researching and implementing new analytical tools to facilitate querying, ad hoc analysis, and automated report production

·         Aiding in the development and maintenance of a platform for the delivery of analytical results and reports

·         Facilitating the implementation of an overall software and hardware strategy for the fair lending analytics group

Interfacing with IT and Data/MIS partners




 

·         2 years experience in SAS and relational databases such as Oracle and DB2; proficient in SQL

·         Able to independently manage database projects

·         Experience in using reporting tools to extract data from databases, such as SAS, Business Objects, Brio, Access, or Toad

·         Experience in database design and implementation

·         Experience in Unix environment and scripting

·         Proficient in Excel

·         Able to interface with internal clients and translate technical data into user-friendly tools and reports

·         Results oriented

·         Excellent communications skills (written and oral)

·         B.A./B.S.in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Operations Research or equivalent experience

 

Preferred:

·         3 years in the financial services industry with experience in risk management

·         Familiarity with HMDA data
