Job Description:


The Legal & Compliance Customer Complaint group is looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to work closely with the Home Lending Executive Office ("HLEO"), attorneys, senior executives, mortgage customers, regulatory agencies, third parties and different lines of business in Home Lending.   Additionally, the successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of data mining and report preparation, and will use these skills to gather data from an internet-based corporate complaints database known as WebER, analyze and interpret the results, then present findings and recommendations to management either verbally or in written format. 

 

 Primary responsibilities include:


  • Working with HLEO analysts to ensure an appropriate response to escalated customer complaints.

  • Identifying risk trends and root causes emanating from HLEO complaints.

  • Providing feedback and prescribing corrective action to the business teams as appropriate.

  • Interfacing with regulators, attorneys, and customers.

  • Responsible for compiling large and complex data sets for daily, weekly, & monthly reporting requirements by mining data from WebER

  • Responsible to ensure the accuracy of data and articulate L&C impacts based on actual data and forecasted data

  • Responsible to identify risks or opportunities for process improvement for the department and various CHF LOB's through tracking and trending reports




  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sophisticated and varied mortgage banking experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills and the ability to deal with escalated customer service issues.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

  • Strong Excel skills and ability to create new reports

  • Strong knowledge of WebER database preferred

  • Extensive knowledge of federal and state laws impacting mortgage servicing such as, but not limited to TILA, ECOA, FCRA, FDCPA, RESPA, Fair Housing Act, Homeowners Protection Act, predatory lending laws, including the ability to analyze Truth in Lending rescission demands
