Primarily perform the role of a Project Associate handling varied initiatives within Capital Markets IT. Individual will be responsible for overall delivery of Project/BAU/Discretionary requests for Capital Markets applications where external vendors are engaged and/or where Capital Markets applications are cross impacted due to Home Lending initiatives by cross functional teams external to Capital Markets under the guidance of overall project execution tower within Capital Markets. Individual will provide support to senior management in terms of maintaining metrics and key reports as required. Individual will be responsible for partnering with vendors & working under VMO - vendor management office guidelines.
Individual will be responsible to define overall project plans for varied initiatives including coordinating with onshore and offshore members as required.
Ideal candidate should be able to quickly understand the current application/s and be able to engage Capital Markets customers, vendors and common groups that request work out of Capital Markets team for their varied requests. Individual will be required to facilitate overall requirements process working with analyst team and the customers. Job entails setting of expectations and brings items to management attention if required for resolution beyond his/her established responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Candidate will be responsible for overall Projects/BAU/Discretionary delivery of Capital Markets applications where vendors application components are needed or being used under the guidance of overall Project tower within Capital Markets.
- Candidate to actively engage in reviewing requests coming from cross functional groups.
- Responsible to handle shipments from Vendors and facilitate their integration, validation and issue resolution.
- Candidate will be responsible for delivery of changes to Capital Markets systems based on cross impacts from groups external to Capital Markets under the guidance of overall Project execution tower within Capital Markets.
- Participate in request prioritizations, production escalations
- Define metrics and provide management reports on core functional area
- Interface with change management, application support groups such as infrastructure teams (RTS, GTI) as required
- Responsible for ensuring compliance to standards as required of the applications under his/her control
- Facilitate issue resolution and engage SMEs as required.
- Cross train individuals within the team as need be.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with relevant experience.
- Experience with Financial Services in a Trading environment is a big plus.
- Experienced in defining project plans, schedules, project estimates and project status reporting is preferred.
- Experience in executing or delivering or managing small projects 3 - 5 years is a big plus.
- Experienced in supporting applications under Java/J2EE environments/.NET environments is required.
- Working knowledge of OOAD concepts and popular OO languages like Java, C , C# will be a plus.
- Experience in all the phases of SDLC from requirements, development, testing, build to deployment is required.
- Experience in change/configuration management with industry-wide tools such as Subversion - a plus
- Experience in delivering Projects especially where Vendors are involved - preferred
- Experience with management reporting and/or metrics - is a plus
- Strong knowledge of MS office, MS Visio, MS Project - preferred.
- Should have experience working with heterogeneous applications - preferred.
Required Skills:
- 2-3 years of performing project/BAU/Discretionary work item deliveries.
- 1-3 yrs of experience in using MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio tools
- 1-3 yrs of experience in Java/J2EE/.NET/RDBMS
- 1-3 yrs of experience in defining metrics and management reporting is a plus
- Good communication skills preferred.
