JOB INFORMATION



Develop and issue structured and pass-through (i.e. MBS) securities. Interact with customers on a daily basis, negotiate and price structured and MBS transactions.. Support the liquidity of MBS through the issuance of structured securities aimed at meeting investor's specific needs while supporting the corporate goals. Provide alternative solutions/securities for SF and MF customers.



KEY JOB FUNCTIONS




  • Act as primary contact with dealers in negotiation of fees and structures. Discuss the dealer's current position for pricing new deals as well as their outlook on the market. Research any new structures proposed by the dealers. Ensure all related deal contracts are properly created and in place at time of security.

  • Reverse engineer structured transactions by interpreting the structuring information submitted by the dealers and translating the information into the company's proprietary model. Provide and verify all analytic and structural information required for the prospectus supplements. Ensure that terms of securities are accurately described and that all risks associated with the securities are adequately disclosed.

  • Review Fannie Mae single-family and multifamily prospectuses and supplements including Fannie Mae whole-loan and wrap transactions. Verify that terms of securities are accurately described and that all associated risks are adequately disclosed. Ensure that prospectuses are printed on time.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely issuance of structured and MEGA securities through the structured transactions settlement process. Troubleshoot settlement problems as they arise.

  • Assist with the development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures as well as other compliance related matters, new products, systems and management reports.

  • Keep management informed of issues affecting the Structured Transaction department, including research in the secondary mortgage and asset backed markets.

EDUCATION



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required

  • Accounting or Finance Degree preferred


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE



  • 0-2 years of related experience


SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS




  • Strong analytic, mathematical, technical, public speaking, coupled with excellent writing skills are necessary
