Job Description:

Governance and Analytics is a centralized group within Operational Risk and Control group that provide risk analysis, reporting, governance, communication and risk initiative support across the home lending organization.  The Quality Analyst III will be part of the Governance and Analytics group, responsible for managing and supporting various projects that require Operational Risk oversight.  In this role, the individual will work closely with various lines of business and project managers to appropriately identify risk issues and ensure that appropriate action plans are developed and tracked.  This function requires a detail oriented individual who is able to execute well in a fast paced environment while working on multiple, concurrent projects.

 

 

Responsibilities

 


  • Provide support for key initiatives with a focus on projects monitored by Operational Risk Management and Compliance across the Home Lending organization.

  • Develop risk issues into action plans including working with various business units, project managers, Legal, and Compliance to ensure that action plans are addressed in a timely and sufficient manner.

  • Work closely with Operational Risk Management and each line of business ensuring that issues, root cause, and action plans are appropriately identified, defined, analyzed, and reported.

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with project managers and key members of the line of business through ongoing coordination of operational matters and utilizing effective communication and, when warranted, conflict and resolution skills.

  • Coordinates with Corporate Operational Risk Management regarding corporate risk reporting.

  • Ensures action plans are comprehensive and completed in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate validation.

  • Work with validation teams and Compliance to ensure action plan task steps are complete and effective.

  • Identify the severity of the risks, notify the appropriate business areas of the risk and continue follow up with the appropriate business areas until the risks are resolved.


 

 

  • Experience with identifying risks and developing mitigating controls

  • Understanding of project management beneficial

  • Knowledge of Work Request Management (WRM) System and Project Health Status (PHS) System beneficial

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to probe sensitive issues while maintaining the highest level of integrity and objectivity

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fluid environment with varying levels of complexity, importance and involvement

  • Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access) skills

  • Home Loan Default background, along with working knowledge of Collections & Default policy and procedures beneficial

  • Working knowledge of Home Loan servicing systems beneficial
