| Job Description: |
The role has the following principle accountabilities: • Assist with engineering a standard deployment of TFS 2010 shared environments that is integrated with Citi's standard build, packaging, and deployment solutions. o Integration with corporate LDAP, Active Directory, Application Inventory Systems, Architecture Governance Systems, and other corporate data stores. o Compliance with the firm's extensive Architecture and Change Control policies, o Certification of Visual Studio IDEs, SDKs libraries integrated with TFS o Component and IDE plug-in development where required. o Working with the project manager and vendor to define, integrate, and test customizations required for internal compliance and self-service capabilities. • Creating project templates; customized workflows that can be used for Iterative/Agile development (SCRUM, RUP, XP, etc) o Hooks/extensions to provide project-level work-flow customization while maintaining compliance with corporate policy, • Integration with external requirements, source code control, testing, and other development tools, • Engineering and User level documentation. • Increase TFS adoption globally throughout the firm • Manage CATE initiatives and manage issues to resolution. • Providing .NET and Windows technologies subject matter expertise to the Wintel development communities. • Proactively identifying and implementing opportunities that enable the development groups to provide the best solutions to their businesses. Development Value this job offers: • Gain experience of a mature architecture process in one of the largest financial institutions in the World • Expand and broaden understanding of a whole multitude of technologies • Exposure to new key vendor technologies. • Benefit from interaction with multiple development teams globally. • Develop relationships with key vendors • Part of a global development community of more than 15,000 developers. • Career progression potential into higher technology roles for the right individualKnowledge/Experience: • Strong demonstrable experience in system solutions design and development • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle • Strong Understanding of architectural concepts and design patterns • Demonstrable client management skills • Very Good client facing skills Skills: Essential: • Innovative, dynamic, flexible and a quick-learner Expert user of Visual Studio 2010 IDEs • Expert knowledge of all aspects of Team Foundation Server 2010 • Solid .Net development skills - C#, ASP.NET (.NET 3.5/4.0) • Expert knowledge in developing enterprise solutions using SOA architectural patterns in C# using common .NET framework 3.5/4.0 • Practical experience of an agile development methodology. • Database development experience using Microsoft SQL Server. • Scripting experience; Powershell, WSH, VBScript Desirable: • Experience using VS Studio Debugger, Intellitrace, Profiler • Experience with MSBuild and other build-related technologies like TeamCity, Hudson, Nant, Ant, Maven, AntHill, CruiseControl. • Windows Workflow Foundation 4.0 • Knowledge of Windows Security, AD authentication and authorization • Windows deployment technologies - Windows Installer, ClickOnce, IIS Web Deployment Tool • Use of Visual Studio Database Projects for managing database development. • Automated Software Provisioning solutions: HP OVCM, IBM TPM • VMWare ESX |
