Purpose and Function of Job: Assist in the performance of the operational quality control reviews of the HAMP program. Assist the manager in carrying out the audit program, monthly reporting, monthly meetings and monitoring of business unit action plans. Principle Accountabilities: Primary liaison between the SRM team and HAMP operational staff in the conduct of the monthly quality assurance reviews. Perform monthly operational testing of key functions and issue timely reports Screen and quality check documentation prior to furnishing to MHA-C upon request. Track management responses and action plans. Meet required audit deadlines. Recommend solutions/improvements to processes and workflows to include training, technology enhancements, and new procedures. Ensure that program QC requirements and client service levels are being met. Foster productive working relationships with HAMP staff and MHA-C reviewers. Identify key risk areas for review and offer recommendations for improvement to appropriate operational management. Initiate and improve audit requirements communications between the business and quality control group. Interface with functional Directors and Managers in the Loss Mitigation areas. Education and Experience Requirements: 1+ year of audit and or quality control experience. Strong technical and computer application skills required. Proven experience in successful data reconciliation and process management. Ability to complete quality control assessments; experience in first mortgage and/or consumer loan servicing is a plus. Strong knowledge of conventional loan servicing procedures including an overall understanding of related industry regulations. The candidate will have a well-rounded understanding of how to develop audit scope, plan testing work and prepare comprehensive reports. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred. Work Environment (e.g., office, field, travel, etc.): Office hours and required off site travel may vary based on review schedules.
