Job Description:

This position is responsible for increasing the volume of FX trading and income. The key function of the role is to develop relationships with different corporate and institutional clients by providing FX or hedging services. Cross-sell products and be able to build strong and positive relationships with new and existing clients. Requires strong customer service skills and must be bilingual in Mandarin Chinese and English. Daily work may require interaction with financial management manager. East Coast hours may be required from time to time.

  • Initiates prospects and develops new client relationships with branch front-line officers, and maintains existing ones
  • Generates client presentation materials. Calculates and maintains monthly individual client Profit-and-Loss (P/L) reports
  • Executes foreign exchange Over-the-Counter (OTC) spot, forwards or swaps transactions with authorized eTrading counterparts, and keeps customers updated and informed on market news
  • Manages FX liquidity with our inter-bank counterparts.
  • Incumbent must comply with all applicable banking laws and regulations, Bank Policies and procedures and Codes of Conduct.
Education Requirement:
University Degree Preferred
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven knowledge and experience in sales/marketing functions, or related business
  • Good knowledge of macro-economics, political developments, and market liquidity conditions
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange markets, risk management and market conventions
  • Fluency in Mandarin communication is a must
  • Proven analytical, computer and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle existing relationships with minimal supervisions, ability to spearhead dealing/trading FX with existing clients is expected.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Knowledge of various banking systems and bank procedures (e.g. Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters, Excel) and other trading or modeling systems
  • Computer literate; fluency in Microsoft Office programs.
