Senior Manager, Compliance and Operational Risk Wealth, Insurance, Private and Institutional Banking (WIPIB) Auckland We are looking for a highly experienced individual with an extensive background in Operational Risk Management and compliance, along with the ability to manage relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, to step into this position. Primarily you will be responsible for providing the first line of defence risk management support to the Financial Markets (front office) and International Operations (back office) business units of WIPIB. You will also actively contribute to the enhancement and ongoing maintenance of an optimal risk and control framework for the Institutional bank NZ branch. Reporting to the Head of Operational Risk, your other key responsibilities will include: - Tailoring group frameworks, models and policies to meet NZ business and regulatory requirements - Facilitating training and awareness amongst users around polices and practice - Proactive identification of risk weaknesses and design policy and principles - Driving, coordinating and producing regular operational risk and compliance reporting requirements including facilitating the semi-annual risk reporting process. - Consulting and advising, supporting and coaching business unit's in their understanding and utilisation of operational risk management capital. Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership skills will be essential as this role will see you interact with a number of different internal and external parties; so the ability to advise, negotiate, mentor and influence will be paramount to your success.
