Job Description:

The key focus of this role is to work within the business to create and deliver creative marketing and market leading compliance communications for a variety of audiences and across various media.

On a day to day basis your duties will include (but may not be limited to) :-

  • Develop and deliver compliance communications for MLC including:
  • Investment updates (sales tools, web content, scripting)
  • Marketing communications
  • Marketing flyers and brochures
  • Product disclosure statements
  • Significant event notices and communications
  • Annual reports
  • Annual statements
  • Ad hoc product letters
    • Manage business owners and strategic marketing managers to review and produce copy that:
  • Has a clear commercial purpose, aligned to the strategic marketing plan
  • Is relevant to the target audience
  • Has been rigorously reviewed and signed off by content owners
  • Is on brand and reflects MLC language
  • Meets MLC's legal and compliance obligations
    • Build constructive relationships with internal partners in investment management, and marketing.
    • Supports platform and insurance communications managers when needed.

    This role will be a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Communications practitioner who enjoys a high level of interaction with colleagues & stakeholders in a role which balances operational delivery with a strategic focus.

    You should be able to demonstrate current or recent experience in the following key areas :-

    • Writing -producing high quality written communications
    • Speaking - speaking confidently with colleagues, peers and general management in both formal and informal settings . .
    • Interviewing - gathering information through probing questions and verifies assumptions and accuracy.
    • Facilitating - guiding and shaping group meetings.
    • Project Management - understanding project management methodologies and reporting procedures.
    • Planning - Anticipating obstacles and changes to plans and arranging provisions in advance to overcome them.
    • Risk Management - Implementing risk minimisation strategies or contingency plans as appropriate.

    Experience gained within MLC or a comparable Wealth business is an essential part of the selection criteria for this role.
