Practice Manager, Financial Planning, NSW South Coast

As a Practice Manager within Advice, your role as a sales and people leader will be to provide growth and development strategies for the financial planning business .
This role has become available due to an internal movement within the business. You will have 11 direct reports consisting of financial planners and support staff. You wil llook after the South Coast of NSW and can be based either in Sydney or on the South Coast.
You will have two major areas of responsibility:
  • You will consult directly with planners, providing guidance on strategies and best practices that will build higher levels of profitability, value and customer advocacy. A further key focus will be to ensure your planners are committed to the vision and values of the organisation and be responsible for building a high performance environment. This role sees you develop and facilitate agreed business plans, source and implement coaching solutions to position your team to achieve business outcomes.
  • You will advocate the Westpac wealth business. You will work closely with your bank leaders to foster a greater understanding of financial planning principles within the greater banking network and continue to provide support to drive activity through to your planning team. You will provide ideas and strategies to introduce financial planning solutions to the broader retail banking customer base.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have the following:
  • A proven track record in coaching and leading people in sales and compliance; an ability to achieve sales targets
  • Deep knowledge and personal experience in the financial planning industry
  • Proven Commercial and Professional acumen
  • High emotional intelligence, critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • An ability to build strong and effective relationships and an ability to influence and engage a broad range of business partners and financial planners to achieve targets and business outcomes
  • Proactive, ambitious, self starter and enthusiastic
  • RG146 (DFP) qualified and an industry related degree would position you more favourably
  • Experience as a People Leader in a Banking environment
