Our Consulting Technology teamin PwC Northern Ireland which sit within our Centres of Excellence is looking to recruit individuals with a proven track record in the area of IT Sourcing. The team works in partnership with other teams within Consulting and across the firm to deliver real business transformation across a broad range of multinational blue-chips across all sectors and public sector bodies. Our Technology Sourcing specialists work specifically to support our clients to achieve maximum value and ensure the right level of technology services is available to the business.Our work includes strategic options for technology delivery, business case, sourcing solutions and selection. We support our clients through contract negotiations, transition and transformation of IT through effective sourcing.Other work may include providing technology sourcing advice working with our Finance and Operations colleagues on large transformation projects such as shared services and supply chain. Although the host office is Belfast - you must be flexible in terms of travel as business needs dictate as many of our client engagements are overseas.

Requirements

  • Third Level Degree Qualification essential – preferably in an ICT related subject;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience within a consultancy, ICT service provider or in an ICT project delivery environment;
  • Commercial Awareness– understanding of the one of the following market sectors/industries: Public Sector, Financial Services, Utilities, Manufacturing, Consumer Business, Health Care, Telecommunications, Entertainment and Media;
  • Demonstrate ability to manage projects, deal with change and react/redirect plans accordingly;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required – demonstrate ability to communicate across all levels within the organisation;
  • Have worked on a number of IT sourcing engagements with deep experience across the IT sourcing lifecycle
  • Good understanding of information technology, comfortable of holding conversations at CIO level about the technology sourcing market
  • Experience in leading business development activity such as opportunity identification, proposal creation and delivering pitches to clients

  • IT Target Operating Model definition
  • Requirements Definition
  • Shared Services Outsourcing
  • Off-shoring
  • Procurement Contracting
  • Transition Transformation
  • Vendor Management
  • Managing ITimpact of MA activity

Responsibilities

As a member of the team, you will be required to:

  • Lead client engagements and ensure that we deliver the best solutions for clients;
  • Build existing client relationships and support opportunities to add to the current portfolio;
  • Work on building and rolling out new value propositions for our clients;
  • Prepare client proposals, tenders and reports on an ongoing basis;and
  • Maintain a ‘best practice’ working environment in terms of compliance, risk, financial management, etc.
