Job Description:

Who we are looking for

PwC’s UK economics practice includes 60 individuals, closely linked to our global economics practice. It has sponsorship from the PwC Board to grow the practice substantially.

Our vision is to be a distinctive, insightful and energetic global economics practice in our chosen markets, driven by a diverse group of analytical, creative and commercial individuals. We stand by our courage to challenge conventional wisdom, and our ability to cut through complexity in explaining the dynamics of markets, products and customers.

Who we are and what we do

Economics is the science of business. We help companies, investors, regulators, law firms and Governments reach better decisions, informed by clear, robust evidence grounded in the dynamics of the industries they operate in. Our help comes in the form of advice, reports, studies and policy recommendations.

Why are we asked for help? Our clients are facing competition and regulation investigations, developing policy, appraising investments, responding to litigation and shaping strategy. Our success is measured by the outcome we deliver – ultimately, in the form of higher profits, and an enhanced reputation.

What can you expect from us? Innovation, creativity and rigour deliver by a team that’s a pleasure to do business with. We pride ourselves on being excellent economists, consultants and, fundamentally, people, from a diverse range of backgrounds. We speak the language that makes sense to people who matter – we deal with business people, regulators, Governments and financiers.

In everything we do, we blend commercial acumen, common sense and analytics. We’re proud to challenge conventional thinking, and stand on our own two feet.Leveraging insights from one sector to another is a particular strength – spotting trends, or dynamics put our clients on the front foot in a competitive world

Due to increasing demand, we would like to hear from economists at Consultant (equivalent to Manager) grade looking to work on economics consulting projects in a dynamic and fast moving environment.

We are particularly interested in individuals with backgrounds in;
